Code of Conduct

 

  • I will be honest.

  • I will represent my coaches, my teammates, my family, myself, my school and the sport of rowing with pride at all times – at practice and outside of practice.

  • I will respect my coaches and their decisions.  I will follow my coach’s instructions.

  • I will support my teammates and have a positive attitude.

  • I will not hurt my teammates, coaches or families with harmful words – verbally, written or through technology and social media.

  • I will not bully anyone. 

  • I will not swear or curse.

  • I will participate in and be punctual for all practices and team events.

  • I will wear appropriate attire to all practices and team events.

  • I will perform every workout to the best of my ability.

  • I will be the best student-athlete possible prioritizing my classes and my sport.

  • I will manage my time wisely so that I can get enough sleep to do well in my classes and my sport.

  • I will adhere to a healthy lifestyle by eating nutritional foods and prioritizing sleep.

  • I will not smoke or vape.  I will not use alcohol or drugs.

  • While at regattas, I will abide by team curfews and team rules. I will allow my teammates to get the rest they need to be successful on race day.

  • I will demonstrate good sportsmanship and be respectful to everyone including coaches, teammates, opponents, race officials and parents.

  • I will respect our equipment. I will take care of it as it is very expensive and time consuming to replace.  I will report all broken equipment to my coach ASAP.

  • I will respect our boathouse and surroundings. I will keep it clean and pick up after myself
