Coach Megan
  • Personal:  Mom to three daughters and a son.  All of her kids rowed for Miami Rowing Club where she chaired the Youth Committee.  Co-founded this club in 2015.  She not only coaches but performs many other tasks from securing hotels to getting us apparel.
  • Fun Fact:  Coach Megan also LOVES biking and cross training and uses her knowledge to create fun workouts for the girls!
  • Rowing:  Has been competing as a Master Rower for over 12 years.  Earned 4 Top 3 finishes including one Gold at World Masters in 2018.  Placed 1st and 2nd at Hooch in 2016.  Earned a Gold and two Silvers at Masters Nationals in 2013.  Was a Varsity Rower at Florida Institute of Technology and Holy Spirit High School.  Has also competed at the Head of the Charles, Dad Vails, SIRA’s, Canadian Henley and many other regattas.
  • Certified USRowing Level 2 Coach.  Trained in Safe Sport, CPR, First Aid and Boating Safety.
Coach Mike
  • Personal:  Father to two sons and a daughter.  Helped start this club and has been involved ever since.  Is an accomplished master athlete in rowing, running and biking.
  • Fun Fact:  Coach Mike and his team WON the 2014 Vol State 500K Relay – a 314 mile running race across five states!  He ran 92 miles over 2 1/2 days.  Do not underestimate his mental toughness!
  • Rowing:  Has been competing as a Master Rower for 16 years.  Earned 3 Top 3 finishes at World Masters in 2018 including 2 Golds.  Earned 2 Golds & 1 Silver at Hooch in 2016.  Was a Varsity Rower at Florida Institute of Technology and Holy Spirit High School.  Won Nationals in high school with his Lightweight 8 and Dad Vails in college with his Freshman and Varsity 8s.  Has also competed at Head of the Charles, SIRAs and many other regattas.
Coach Kaley
  • Personal:  A Doctorate Candidate in Psychology at Nova Southeastern University.  Prior to moving to Florida, was the Women’s Coach at Wilmington Youth Rowing Association and a Novice Coach at Drexel.
  • Fun Fact:  Coach Kaley has a wealth of recent Division I college experience which will help our athletes that aspire to row in college!
  • Rowing:  Began rowing as a Junior in high school and got recruited to row at Drexel University in Philadelphia.  Medaled at three Dad Vails including Gold in her 2V 8.  Has also competed at Henley Women’s, Head of the Charles, CAAs and many other regattas.
Coach Kathy
  • Personal:  Mom to two daughters in college.  Worked as an accountant before getting involved in volunteer work.  Has always been involved with youth organizations including being a Girl Scout Leader for eight years.  Co-founded this club in 2015.  Handles the administrative side and coaches too!
  • Fun Fact:  Coach Kathy is also a CPA but would much rather coach and row.  As a result, her rowers get some very detailed results!
  • Rowing:  Has been competing as a Master Rower for 12 years.  Earned 4 Top 3 finishes including one Gold at World Masters in 2018.  Placed 1st and 2nd at the Hooch in 2016.  Earned two Silvers at Masters Nationals in 2013.  Was a Varsity Rower and Team Captain at Florida Institute of Technology and Holy Spirit High School.  Has also competed at the Head of the Charles, Dad Vails, SIRAs, Canadian Henley and many other regattas.
